Silver Rally

May 6, 2011

Our newest batch of silver cheerleaders just had their heads handed to them. I'm not surprised; they were selling washing machines at Wal-Mart three months ago and only appointed to "GURU" status lately. They got everything wrong. Thanks to them, the silver bulls have lost over $2 billion in 10 days.

So as I said on April 25, 2011,

1. Parabolic charts mark tops and brutal declines.
2. A record high bullish consensus marks tops
3. This time is never different, silver "GURUS" or not

For those buying the Sprott Silver trust on April 25, you are down 44% in ten days. Silver is the most dangerous commodity to invest in and if you love the climbs, you will hate the waterfall declines. Silver is the best short in commodities again.

For those who think buying silver is an act of patriotism, you are down a mere 30% in a week from the top at $50. Wasn't it Samuel Johnson that said, "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel?" He got it exactly right. I know of only one valid reason to buy gold or silver and that's to make a profit. But what do I know; I was just the guy warning 6 weeks ago that silver was getting frothy?

Of course, if you were buying silver to take down JP Morgan, you had another silly reason to own something. Did you really think you could outspend Jamie Dimon? A good friend of mine, Puru Saxena was mocked by someone having a cartoon made with his name on it showing he had his head up his ass for daring to predict a bloodbath in silver. I guess we all know just who it was that had their heads up their asses.

Silver is a commodity. It shares some monetary aspects with gold but like gold, it is not money for now. Maybe it will be someday. But when all the cheerleader idiots out there try to turn it into some kind of weird cult or religion like the Nasdaq in March of 2000 or Real Estate in 2006, you know it's time for money to move from weak hands into strong hands. When the bozos writing about silver start talking about how silver is moving into strong hands at $50, you know it has to be a full moon and either the world has lost its mind or they have. If buying silver at $50 is the act of strong hands, doesn't that make buying silver at $4 the act of weak hands. Sorry guys but you have life in a blender.

The market got so stupid that people were paying Eric Sprott $60.50 an ounce for paper silver on April 25th and he was busy selling his paper silver and buying physical silver. Now he has a loss on both. I suppose him selling silver makes him a "Traitor" as well because we are no longer able to express an opinion about silver without the thought police slandering us.

When the village idiot starts touting anything, dump it.

As of 5 May 2011, the premium on the Sprott Silver Trust is down to a more reasonable 11%. But the premium on the CEF Metals fund is an absurd negative 8.5%. We are due for a rally. I wonder if I can predict a rally with being abused by the gang of fools.

This latest foolishness by people who know nothing about investing or commodities has already cost investors billions of dollars as I have been predicting for years. Silver is so dangerous to invest in that the silver bulls get creamed again and again. But if we see a rally up to $46-$47 which would be very typical of a countertrend rally, look out below. That's when you will see a real silver crash.

I know he has been commenting on my blog all day yesterday and some of the readers beat him up pretty good and chased him off.
Bob got his ass kicked for 3 months and missed a 60% move in silver. He called a top 3 times and catches a huge suspicious break.

I tried to make a bet with him for the blog. If silver goes to $7.50 I shut down my blog if silver goes to $100 he shuts down his.

The days of this paper manipulation are coming to a final end and this might have just been the banksters final hoorah. All of that fast money and momentum traders can whip the market one way, but only for a short time, until the real market sends it back the other way. “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” July looks like it has been set up for the next/final battle with 750 million ounces of open interest fighting over now 33 million ounces on the CRIMEX. At some point the CRIMEX will default and it will be game over.

Anyone like to speculate on what this really means

from your essay, "... The inevitable manipulation lead to the biggest and most powerful crash I have ever seen. Silver got whacked from $49 to $35 for a loss of -40% on paper. "

Taking your "round numbers" of $49 down to $35, that's a drop of $14, or a loss of -28.6% from $49.

OTOH, $35 plus $14 would be a gain of +40%.

It's like the old trader's mantra about the importance of cutting your losses while they're still small: if you lose 33% of your capital, you need to gain 50% from there, just to get back to where you were again. Lose 50% of your capital, need to gain 100% just to get back to where you were.

Fortunately silver's not lost 40% from its week-ago highs, (dare I utter "yet"?). It'll surely remain high volatility for a few months from here, given how the rocket's momentum was soundly halted this past week... need to back-and-fill, build a new launch pad here.

BTW, $49 minus 40% (or $19.60) would put silver at $29.40.

I'm a retarded noob when it comes to trading and market stuff, but I would say that based on that statement, they have been fractionally leverageing paper silver against physical and they don't have enough physical to meet everyone's paper demands if they all tried to cash in and take possession.

Or am I just stating the obvious? I'm sure you already knew all that, because I knew that a few years ago, and I'm a retarded noob with this stuff.

I convinced my Mom to dump some of her FRN's to silver. She picked up ~120 oz just today, no problem finding in the Detroit area.

Now he wants me to put 40,000 down a against his 1024 ounce bar of silver he owns and if silver goes to below $25 he wins and if silver goes over $80 he loses.

So I have gone back with if silver goes over $50 he publishes The Silver Bullet and the Silver Shield on his blog which started all of this non sense. And if it goes below $25 I will publish an article of his on my blog.

Although I believe that silver will be $50+ long before the years end, I personally wouldn't consider taking a bet that stated that silver will NOT first touch down to $25.

With these bastards in control, who knows what can happen? Too risky. Seeing $25 honestly wouldn't have surprised me with this last hammer-down. I was surprised we didn't go lower than we did.

Violent and radical changes in the paper price will happen. I would not bet on a fixed price at a fixed time. The criminals with all the money can manipulate that.

What we are running into, however, is a dollar value crisis. The debt cannot be serviced at the current tax rate and the economy is imploding (deflation) with decreased means for borrowing more fake money into existence. Government spending seems to be the counterbalance with off-books funding for things like Fannie/Freddie, AIG, banksters, international bailouts, etc.

Not knowing when they will pull the plug on the old FRN "dollar" makes any bets silly. The risk of holding physical assets is much smaller than the risk of holding FRNs. And the value of silver seems a much better bet to increase percentage-wise over gold. Want to make him a good bet? Factor in the price of gold versus the price of silver. Give yourself a decent window in which YOU can claim victory. Don't be trapped into a fixed drop-dead price, but own the open window.

He wanted me to take $80 while he sat at $25. So I had to go up $43 and he had to go down $12.
