In this speech by the Russian Speaker of the House you will find two interesting points.

1. Russia plans to setup an Eastern Block Union similar to the EU (remember the old USSR?)

Russians in positions like this don't make statements like that unless they know something. Yes he's probably had a little too much vodka, where loose lips sink ships comes to mind, but I wouldn't doubt his statements. The former USSR is a HUGE continent and GOD knows what crap might have fallen on their lands that they have been able to re-engineer. Just saying.
