What I'd really like to see is a large bullion dealer selling the old school Canadian nickels, which are .999 pure nickel bullion.

Even if the price is a bit outrageous, I'd buy a few just to add to my collection. It looks nice.

Have you noticed that all the copper rounds are sold by avoirdupois ounces rather than troy ounces? Anyone know why that is? It strikes me as strange.

It is how base metals are transacted in the industrial world. Precious metals are transacted in troy ounces.

They may make pretty rounds, but copper is still a base metal.


It's important, but not "precious".
