Here is a report from the local coin store. No one was in there when I went in, the owner said to me "been awhile since I've seen you. Thought maybe the high prices scared you away like all of my other customers"

He had a little bit, not tons. This dealer NEVER has tons so that wasn't out of the ordinary.

He had about $10 in 90% halves, 5 quarters, about $1 in dimes.
15 SAEs
2x 1/4oz GAEs
5oz generic rounds/bars

He usually keeps his gold in the back though and it is by request so I'm not sure how much of that he had total.

Quoted prices:

1/4 oz GAE $425 Apmex@ $431
Silver Eagles $38.50 He had 15, including one 1996 he was asking $43.50 for the '96. Apmex@$43.01
Morgan/Peace dollars $29
1oz generic $37 Apmex@ 40.39
90% Junk @ x25 face

I bought 12 eagles. I didn't get the '96 though I kind of wish I had after I left. I think I should have picked it up for that price.

Yeah I would have bought it and buried it in with your excellent 38.50 price for the other 12 SAE's.

Total cost per SAE if you had purchased the '96 = $38.88 per SAE. still an overall great deal.

Yeah, he has good prices usually. Unfortunately I have to pay sales tax in my state and there is no threshold to meet to have it waived. With tax they were around $40.80 each which is still cheaper then I can find online and its cash of course, no paper trail.
