Wowwwwwwwwww the key to your house or you will go to jail.....I'd rather burn down my home and take off.
And the more that I think about it the more that I believe that I will have to actually do it.

ALL this bullshit is strictly administrative and NOT the law of the land. Unless and until people stand on their own two feet and defend themselves against this nonsense I say they get what they deserve. Ignorance of the law is no excuse!

Hell I would give them the key... then proceed to change the locks.

Hahahahahahahahah Celtic........that's what I did when I had my own company and was renting three warehouses, I knew that they had extra keys so I changed all the locks...........no problem for the five years that I was there, when I left I gave them my keys and told them about it.

Cedar Falls, Iowa. Backyard of Michele Bachmann ... she was brought up in Waterloo. There are places in Waterloo where police cars will not even travel. They come out with bullet holes.

Palani? same in CA, there are some areas where cops don't go in and in the new year five minutes before midnight till five minutes after midnight they hide in a underpass so as to not get hit by flying bullets coming in from the sky.

Tie your key to one of these...

i had to have some locks re-keyed recently. i watched while the locksmith did it.
there are 5 small rods that are dropped into the lock, to coincide to 5 sections on the key.
altogether, there are about 32,000 combinations.
that's for a lock that's working correctly.
especially if i can into a conversation with a door contractor and a locksmith at the hardware store, i ask about "war-stories". e.g. i'm concerned looking at the keys on my old car that it might work on some other's people's cars & vice versa. they basically confirmed that yes, keys are secure but not that secure.
it's odd how creating an obstacle course for uninvited visitors sort of becomes a skill of the 21st century.
i still have the frozen skunk. i want to learn how to integrate the scent gland into a security system to deal with persons such as the Cedar Falls city management and their paid agents.
if our government is going to behave like a skunk ...

Every council member that voted for it needs to have a lock box tossed through their window every couple of nights until they see ruling as a dictator won't be tolerated
This is exactly what should happen.
This and more.
That will be the only way to begin to stop this sh*t.

Why don't they just use bump keys? They won't have to carry a bunch of keys around with them.

This is another piece of evidence that people who consider themselves authorities are either insane or incredibly stupid. Our group processes have become insane. The people who voted on this must have made up their minds before they had this public discussion. I'm convinced that we live in an age of bad ideas imposed on us by fascist authoritarians, and we've all been conditioned to go along to get along. Those of us who don't conform and obey are taught by force to go along to get along. One day there will be no point to having any laws or authority because nobody will respect them.
I wonder what the penalty is for non-compliance with this bad idea?
I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again. Before this is all over, we are all going to become anarchists. I see Shami-Amourae has joined the ranks. Nice avatar, Shami--I was thinking of using a variant of that myself.

I recently made the switch over. Went from Liberal (pre-2007) to Libertarian (2007-2011) to Anarchist (2011-Now). I'd use the label Anarcho-Capitalist/Individualist to be honest. I was doing the black rose symbol, but I realized it looked gay and most people don't know the true meaning.

This ruling is outrageous. And one wants to know who will be responsible for thefts and losses by businesses as these lock boxes compromise security and invite insider corruption. These businesses need to get their insurance carriers involved.

To the general public, anarchy is a bad thing.
"We ... we could have ANARCHY in the STREETS !"
/\ Yuppie angst.
But when you think about it, the American colonies were peaceful and anarchist, except for the police-men (British soldiers) who worked for the Talmud worshippers (English bankers.)
Of course, it helped to have a gun.
So, what has changed ?
A/ now the bankers are not just English, they're English speaking.
B/ it helps to have more than 1 gun. :-)

Yuppie angst? When you see the 'authorities' proposing that everyone give them the keys to their business, or when they insist they have to grope you at the airport, or when they come into your home with dogs and guns and shoot you because you object, and they are not accountable for it, ANARCHY starts looking like a much better form of ORDER.
It means simply 'without leaders'. If our 'leaders' allow these things, we don't need leaders.

UPDATE: Cedar Falls City Council OKs controversial lock box ordinance
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- What a difference a few years and an online revolution makes.
Seven years ago the Cedar Falls City Council passed an ordinance requiring lock boxes on commercial buildings and larger apartment complexes. Hardly a soul made a peep about it.
On Monday the council voted 6-1 on a third and final reading to expand the ordinance to include more apartment buildings. In the days leading up to the vote, they received hundreds of phone calls and e-mails from people all over the country from people upset about the issue.
