LOST YOUR ACCOUNT OR PASSWORD?? PROBLEMS LOGGING IN?? Read this to fix!

OK, everyone...

We're getting repeated requests to fix "broken" accounts since the transition over to VBulletin. Here's what you do:

STEP 1 - Did you have a fake or non-functioning email address at the old forum? If you did, skip directly to STEP 9.

STEP 2 - Log in, using your old user name and password. THIS WILL FAIL.

STEP 3 - Hit the "Forgot my Password" link.

STEP 4 - Wait for the email. Follow instructions. You will be emailed a new password.

STEP 5 - Log in using your new password. If you did the previous 4 steps right, THIS WILL WORK.

STEP 6 - Go into your "Settings" (up by the Kitco banner), then go to the "Edit email and password" link to the left.

STEP 7 - Go to the "Edit Password" section. Enter your old password, or whatever password you want to use from now on. Press the "Save Changes" button at the bottom.

STEP 8 - Congratulations! You have your old account and password back.

STEP 9 - If you had a fake or non-functioning email address set up on the old forum, YOU MUST EMAIL JQP (or PM him from a temporary created account with a different user name), and ask him to reset your email address to something that WORKS that you can receive email with. After he resets your email address, do STEP 2-9 above. This is the ONLY way you will be able to use your old account name and password if you had a fake or non-functioning email address.

Serpo, you can do it two ways. When you post you'll notice a think that looks like a movie real, click on that put the link there, or do [ video ] http:// link [ video ] minus the spaces.

OK... that's easy. When logging on with your sock puppets, just click the "Ban Me NOW!!!" link to the left of the user name, and make sure the "Remember my Permanent Ban" box is checked! ;D

Anyone logging in from a mobile device who can offer some advice please? Are you using the Mobile version or do you switch to full version of this site? I think it is loading a mobile version but it cannot load a log in page.
