For simple trades I think it will be potable water and canned food and escapism things drugs/booze.

For "high dollar" trades it will be, spices, medicine, tampons/maxipads and long lasting footware.

Gold silver will be for after civilization starts to come back and barter becomes too cumbersome. due to specalization in the new "Towns"

Personaly I don't like the trade guns and bullets with strangers that whole arming your potental enemy thing.

That is my .02FRN on the subject anyway.
