That is if the IMF and the Eurozone approve. Must suck to need to get the bankers permission. Granted, they will not have an issue plundering pension funds to boost jobs. Hell Turbo Timmy has plundered 80 billion from Fed Gov workers just to keep the government running.
Ireland Seizes $7 Billion From Its Pension Fund To Boost Employment (http://www.businessinsider.com/ireland-seizes-7-billion-from-its-pension-fund-to-boost-employment-2011-6#ixzz1P7BHzgDD)
THE GOVERNMENT WILL use the last €5 billion in the National Pensions Reserve Fund (NPRF) to help create employment although it will need approval from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Europe before doing so.

Once they steal the public pensions, it should be easier to kill the privates.

[T]here is no particular reason why overseas companies might not like to rid themselves of their pension fund liabilities. And several deals over the past few months would suggest this has begun to happen...
Another market with potential is Ireland, which has a similar system of corporate defined benefit pension plans to the UK. Recent developments are leading to increased interest in derisking them...

I am fairly positive that this Idea will spread like wildfire based on the "Irish precedent".

This is a warning shot across the bow to get your assets out of Tax deferred retirement accounts like IRAs, 401Ks and TSPs. There are $Trillions in those here in the US. A very tempting pile for the authoritarian fascists. Anybody who loses value for having their money in these can only blame themselves. If you take your money out and pay the taxes, you'll have something left--maybe 65%, which is better than nothing. Use the proceeds to buy physical metal. This is an area where you can learn from history and not repeat it.

Just like the smoking ban in the bars here in the US... I heard that started in Ireland also.
