I was thinking the same thing.

I do have to say that I've got a pair of RayBans and they've been the most durable pair of sunglasses I've ever owned. My wife thought I was crazy to spend the money on them when I could have bought a dozen cheap pairs for the same price. Other than a small scratch where I accidentally dropped them, they've remained tight and scratch free for 4 years now. Cheaper sunglasses would also give me headaches.

Although I have a pair of hi $ Revo sunglasses, I mostly wear a pair of Ray-Ban aviators that are now at least 8 years old and have been through quite a bit including getting scratched lens and bent temples (haven't worn the Revo sunglasses in years). I have no plans to replace them at this time as they serve their purpose just fine.
