As I type this, spot silver price is $36.19. I was curious to see what the "real" price of silver is, meaning what someone is willing to pay for one ounce of real silver in the marketplace. I put a generic round on ebay, nothing special, free shipping, and it just ended for $43.03. This is 19% higher than spot price! This seems to be a common thing on ebay right now, that silver is selling for a good 15-20% over spot price, and tells me that silver is still undervalued.

Are you paying for shipping? What were your fees to ebay? Not trying to bust balls, but I would like to see all the numbers. Net, not gross.

Today the mailman said he tried to buy silver yesterday at a shop in Van Nuys... the owner quoted him a price of $49.00 each for Silver Eagles.

No doubt I did get killed on the fees. Ebay took $3.88 and Paypal took $1.55. I did pay for shipping which ran $1.07 which nets me $36.53, basically everything above spot price. It's been said before, but think twice before selling on ebay, they eat up most/all of your profits.
