1% is down big? We see 3-4% swing in Ag and yawn.
The only reason that it is news is because the Dow number is all that is thrown out for the sheep to hear.
Like 30 large corporations are indicative of the economy.

All on the bucky. Then add what the oil dump today does to chevron and exxon which are components of the dow.
Once again yawn. Wake me when it is 10% down open.

LOL - I just bought some GDXJ yesterday and I'm down 3 grand. I figured this might happen. But I was sitting on 70% cash for the last month and it was buring a hole in my pocket. I guess I got impatient waitng for the deflationary crash to precede QE3. The thing of it is: pension funds and institutional accounts are underwater and underfunded and can only be rescued by QE3. The FED cannot allow markets and asset prices to deflate - the big banks will implode. They seem to be playing a game of chicken, with the markets, and with us. When do we cry uncle and beg for QE3? How the heck is Uncle Sam going to muddle through for an other month without increasing the debt limit? Who is buying all this crap US debt? Is the FED secretly monetizing as we speak?
Bottom line: The FED and TPTB will inflate. I wait a bit because I already got cut by a small falling knife called GDXJ. But the miners are looking awefully cheap - and cash is trash in the long term - so I will be buying more paper silver and gold. So when do we hit bottom amd how low does this rollercoaster go?
Damn!
