President Obama's Terrible Mistake

The President addressing the 10th Mountain Division today at Fort Drum:

"First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously."

As we all know, SSG Sal Giunta, of the 173rd Airborne, was the first living recipient (2011) of the MOH who fought in Iraq/Afganistan. SFC Jared Monti, 10th Mountain Division, was KIA in Afghanistan in 2006. He was posthumously awarded the MOH by Obama in 2009.

How does the Commander-in-Chief mix these heroes up? He put that medal around Giunta's neck and he stood with Monti's parents as they grieved. These fallen heroes leave such a great legacy, and we should know all their names. The ironic part of the speech, and this comes after the announcement of the politically pressured drawdown of troops in Afghanistan, was Obama's closing remark, "Know that your Commander-in-Chief has your back."

It shouldn't take a teleprompter for the C-in-C to get it right.

Mamboni comments: Peruse the reader comments - they are withering. Obama really laid an egg this time, and no amount of spin by the sycophants can put it back into his arrogant haughty arse.

I read this earlier today and on second thought realized it was no big deal. It was just a name mix-up as he awarded metals to both (one dead, one alive). The soldier who's life he or Bush wasted is memorialized more than ever with all this attention.

What, we can have a sociopath destroying 'his' country, setting up NWO treason, sending men off to kill and die in illegal wars while lack of care destroys the economy and infrastructure and environment in the earth's 6th great extinction. But getting a name wrong is an outrage?

It does indicate he needs a teleprompter to make all the proper noises though.

Because they are not heroes by any definition of the word.


Soldier: "I have blindly followed Unconstitutional, immoral and unjust orders which have resulted in the downfall of my own country....".........

President: "Sir, you are a hero..."

It took about twelve seconds as an official candidate for president for Michele Bachmann to say get caught saying something unintentionally hilarious. Speaking to Fox News on Sunday before her announcement in Waterloo, Iowa, earlier today, Bachmann said, "What I want them to know is that, just like John Wayne is from Waterloo, Iowa, that's the kind of spirit that I have too." As the Washington Times pointed out, movie star John Wayne was born in Iowa — but Winterset, Iowa, which is about 140 miles from Waterloo. There was, however, a famous John Wayne who used to live in Waterloo. His name was John Wayne Gacy, and he was a terrifying clown who raped and murdered 33 young men in the seventies, which is about as far from "heroic cowboy" as you can get.
