Seagull stole my video camera in Cannes France. I found it on the castle wall, where I had to climb.

Well done birdy!

Cheeky seagull borrows GoPro video camera in Cannes and improvises in-flight Documentary Short Subject. Debut Cinematographer/Director/Star, master of the long take, naturally leaves us hanging with one of those artsy ambiguous French endings...

While the original cameraman can be heard to shout “Hey, hey!” as the bird makes off, his calls don’t come to anything and the bird flies off with the camera still rolling.

This results in some pretty impressive aerial footage of Cannes, which we think its safe to say is better than what the camera owner was originally shooting.

Cool as it is, not everyone is sold. Seeing as the camera is a GoPro and the company that manufactures the GoPro is known for its viral video campaigns, some folks can't help but be skeptical.

"Probable conclusion," according to Mashable: "After scores of action videos featuring snowboarders and daredevils, apparently GoPro has branched out into skillfully produced simulated Seagull Cams. Brilliant."

Or as one YouTube commenter put it, "I am convinced this was uploaded by the seagull."

...It's real because it made my dogs bark when I played it. They know.
...your dogs don't know nothing. My dogs didn't bark. How much is ProGo paying you to comment?
