View Full Version : Human energy, vibe, whatever you want to call it, just some observations

As some people might know since last Saturday I've been up in the Central Valley with Enzo doing training. Everyone I met was awesome. Dealing with just normal everyday people was nice also. It was a very even keel type of a vibe, and there was a generally positive energy up there.

So there I was coming back to L.A. yesterday, and as soon as came into the county I noticed the driving of other people. Everyone drives way over the speed limit and more importantly selfishly. They cut people off, hell, they'll cut you off and give you the finger.

Then I stopped by the grocery store before getting home. Everyone is just rude, inconsiderate and so self absorbed it makes me sick.

I really need to get the hell out of here and move to the country. I just need to figure out how to do it, and set a realistic time-line because I think the negative energy is killing me.

& the sooner the better!

They say don't concentrate on 'how', concentrate on what you want; and the 'how' will work itself out.

I totally understand how ya feel. For my own sanity, not to mention safety, I've got to get out of here no matter how much I love the climate. Between the latino's who mostly have a shit attitude and the yankee's being rude as fuck I've had enough. I can deal with the cold better than I can continuing to tolerate existing in this situation, cause I'm sick of foreigners telling me to learn their language and being hateful bastards in the process, enough! It'll be a very nice change going back to a place where folks are genuinely friendly and speak English.

Maybe it's time to trade that "chick magnet" Porsche for a nice trailer to haul behind the beast. A bug-out situation may be coming sooner then you think?
Put the sugar shack on the market while it still has value and rent if you have to.
Start making plans if it's not too late already?
Streamline your life now!

I miss some things about CA...and there's lot's I don't miss!
With Fukushima still unfolding, I'm not sure the coast is the best place to be anymore.
Maybe Utah would be good?

Maybe Utah would be good?

Utah is full of those crazier than a shithouse mouse Mormons (not inclusive of all Mormons, I know some fine folks who are LDS), and if you're not LDS then you will always be an outsider - not good when it's a full blown shtf situation.

General, I'm in the same boat as you (pun intended). I sense a lot of negativity around my city, unusual craziness and rudeness...perhaps it's the hot weather. We're in the killing months here now. Homicides are going back up. That and the economy, I think it all affects people.

I've realized how much I miss the small town, slow feel of country life. I've decided, for myself, it's definitely time to return to my hailing port. Everything is down there that I want/need, and miss. Still old buddies there, as crazy as me. Back to nature, bon fires on the beach with good people. One small bar in town where everyone knows each other. Friendly folks. People smile and want to get to know you. I get excited just thinking about it.

So...I've got a plan for myself. General, you need a plan, a goal, break that goal down to a managable list so you don't get overwhelmed.

It's human nature to resist change. Think about where you want to go in life, where you want to be, and start working on it. That's the great thing about life. I think the hardest part is finding out exactly what we want to do. Once the ball gets rolling everything seems to fall into place.

Exactly right Solid, we resist change even when we know it's sometimes for the best because it takes us out of our comfort zone and into the unknown. I think it's great you know specifically where you're headed, that's one helluva bonus!

Cheers Liberty, yeah that place is pretty awesome. It's funny, I should have never left actually! That place is sort of trapped in time, nothing seems to change there, living there felt like I was constantly on vacation. I've had the best times of my life there. Really slow pace of life. We used to joke that it was in it's own time zone.

I am excited, and excited for you as well. Change is in the area. There's just too much negativity here. The General nailed it, hard to put into words...but people seem to have this aura in the city that life is something to be endured, a constant struggle. You can't escape that unless you leave it behind for better waters.

Liberty, hopefully you and I can inspire the General to make some changes in the right direction.

You are both right!

We are creatures of habit and routine, in our life's, we all develop comfortable ruts and routine's that we live in and tread daily. And most of us if not all just hate to change. It is built into our dna I think. Most will moan and groan and or fight change, unless there is a seen or a perceived benefit to make the change. And still some of us will still fight any change, because they like the rut/routine they are living in.

Think about it, each and every one of us live in some kind of daily routine/habit/rut, of our own making that we call living our life's.

It's the human way.

There is very little in the city that interests me ,on the other hand the country side has CHARM.
