I have to question if that's real, or a well crafted fake. Wouldn't that amount of wind send the squirrel tumbling over a few times?

Do not think so , the car has bunches of "ground effect" so in effect there is a partial vacuum under it.

Full screen it and watch the shadow, it is consistent with everything else.

I think the vaccuum effect only exists directly underneath the car at any given moment. Wouldn't the momentum of the vaccuum passing over something at a high rate of speed still create a wave of high/low pressure disturbance? A "whoosh" so to speak.
I think myth busters should take this one up.

Good question! It may have to do with the fact that car was going over 100 mph and it passed over the critter in less than an eye blink of time. Plus the squirrel is very small and low to the ground. With very little surface area, Think it would be more like a dome building in a tornado, and hug the earth. Also that squirrel was not letting any dust or moss collect on its tail, it was moving as fast as it could .(think)

I had a chuckle when I noticed after the car, the squirrel decided to keep his tail down the rest of the trip.
[Oops, now I feel bad, on second look I expect its broken]

I can't see the video, but I get the jist of it.
Last night after work I picked my kids up, and we were driving through the city towards home. A squirrel was crossing the road in front of us, and it had been hit by a car. It's back legs were crushed, and it's lower spine was probably crushed, and it was running fast on two legs, dragging it's rear portion along.
The poor little bugger. I thought "Shit, I hope the kids didn't see that", but they did. Luckily they thought it was cute and just running like that on purpose, so I didn't say anything, but for some reason, it really bothered me that the squirrel was hurt like that. I mean, I shoot them when I am hunting, but to see one half crushed, knowing it was going to die sooner than later really bothered me.
Sorry to be a downer. Weird that I saw that last night then came on here this morning as saw this thread...
