I was at Lowes looking for a filter for the lawn mower. The filter was $8.09 for one.
Down the aisle and across it I found the deal of the year:
Briggs&Stratton Tune-up Kit for $9.99 that included: 1 air-filter, 1 spark plug, 1 18oz bottle of SAE 30 Oil, 1 1oz Fresh Start Fuel Stabilizer.
They weren't in the same "filter" area; but in the same aisle! This is a great stock-up price for the Preps!
Thought I'd share!

when shtf i'm going to stop mowing my yard. Down here it is more like "What lawn?". The dam heat and drought did its work.

I got a city violation notice this year for letting my grass too long. If I get another notice in a year it is an automatic 25 FRN fine. 2nd notice is 500 FRN's.
Crap thing is that I mowed it the day I got the notice. I grabbed the mail after I mowed. Cocksukers.

No one can see my yard but me!! I have less then 1/2 acre of grass on over 50-some acres. I like to keep the bugs, snakes and varmints at bay. Mowing to me is keeping a clean homestead; I do like to mow a row around the garden as well, to keep the weeds from migrating.
If SHTF I expect my life here to continue on . . . mowing and all.

90% of the problems people have with lawnmowers and other small engines these days are fuel system problems directly related to ethanol in gasoline. Fuel stabilizer and/or non-ethanol gasoline for engines that don't run daily would be a good idea.
I don't own a lawnmower myself. I threw wildflower seeds around my house a couple years ago, it gets 2 or 3 feet tall by September and then gets flattened by the snow in the winter. Neighbors don't seem to mind.
