It has backed off from the $1599.80 high that it made but I do think that that it will hit $1600. If it does not hit $1600 tonight, then it will probably do it when London trading opens. Once an agreement is made on spending cuts and "revenue increases" and the debt ceiling is raised before Aug.2, then IMO gold will back off the $1600 level and silver will back off the $40 level.
