Ok This is a News paper poll for Australia.
I don't know the back story. I can't find the article and I think it is from another city to my city. I got an email link from the guy who sold me my pistol.
The question is: Should students be taught how to use guns?
You know what to do: http://au.news.yahoo.com/polls/popup/-/poll_id/f3895977-f0ee-3743-b9a9-1f306d243b55

Ok. Here is the back story. I am not sure anyone outside of Australia can view this interview on breakfast TV in Australia.

Basically the Shooters and Fishers party of NSW want's kids to be taught how to shoot.
We don't want to become like America though. Not sure the guy puts a strong argument but nonetheless......

EVERYONE should be taught how to use, maintain, and store firearms. We'd have a FAR more polite and conscious society as a result - I guarantee it!

Everyone BUT government officials. In fact, it should be illegal for any government official to own a weapon, period. I'd also add they should be neutered, but I dunno if they'd go along with it.

Neutering would be good - why allow parasites to spawn??

7th Grade my Middle School had firearm safety class for 1 week. We shot 22 rifles, 22 pistols and 20ga shotguns at paper targets and clay pigeons. Parents had to sign a safety waiver to make it happen. I wonder if they still do that program?

I sorta doubt it......now days "drawing" a picture of a gun on paper or bringing a toy gun for a GI Joe doll in to school will get you suspended & expelled.....lol
It's best to have Professional instructions from Competent LEOs to demonstrate gun safety.....::)

Guns = Freedom
This is why governments hate citizens having them.
