Looks like Ross Perot knew EXACTLY what he was talking about. Al Gore was pushing 'Environmental' crap in 1993, and boasting that NAFTA was going to 'save American jobs'.

They said this was the first time in American history that 3 Presidential candidates faced each other in a Presidential debate.
Keep in mind this was the first Presidential debate that was not sponsored by The League of Woman Voters. After Perot took a good amount of the vote, the Presidential debates were permanently given over to the Commission on Presidential Debates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_on_Presidential_Debates) - (Which is headed up, funded, and ran by the former Chairs of the DNC and RNC. It is a rigged game!)
The LWV released this statement after pulling out as the sponsor of the Presidential Debates:
"The League of Women Voters is withdrawing sponsorship of the presidential debates...because the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter. It has become clear to us that the candidates' organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and answers to tough questions. The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public."
I find this period in American history to be much more interesting and diabolical than it gets credit for. IMO.....
(I will stop posting in my own thread now. ;D)

Did any of you alive at the time actually think "free trade" was going to support your wages?
But the gov knew that if it didn't happen that they'd not be able to control inflation going forward.

Yes he hit the nail on the head. When they threated his family it threw his campaign so he lost. But he was right none the less.
I voted for him. That was the start of my awakening.
