WTF is up with cops these days?

On June 8, 2011 the following unfortunate arrest took place in Canton, OH. Notifying the policy when you have a firearm is required by Ohio Law, but when this individual with a thirty-day old license tries to do that he is repeatedly ordered to look away, shut up, or interrupted and "forced" to change what he is speaking about by the actions of an aggressive cop who maintains verbal control of the situation.

A two man car dealing with three people put itself at risk when one officer started what appears to be an illegal search of the rear of the car without extracting or securing the driver - which would have given him an opportunity to notify.

What follows is horrific example of a police officer losing all self-control, threatening to beat the female, threatening to beat the driver and eventually saying he should have executed him "and wouldn't have lost any sleep over it" that night.

These cops are just scared. Full of fear and anger. Dangerous and disgraceful.

What's really scary is that the cop thinks he has the right to execute people for 'being stupid'. And he wouldn't lose any sleep over it? The cop has anger management issues, and appears to be mentally ill. Canton Ohio should fire him before he costs them some major liability losses for his behavior.

It seem like he may have been set up. How would he not know the dash cam was rolling?

He also states his partner would make a nice witness supposedly in support of his actions.

DHS wants criminals like this on their side... banksters, oil men, politicians would have them kill us for their own survival... cut them a few bucks, they're all set...

...and therein lies the problem.

Because they do deal with some pretty bad people sometimes, they allow that to blind them to the fact that all the people they deal aren't.
ie they discriminate against all of us, because of some of us. {they could use to watch that video I posted}

It's as wrong as can be and that cop should be fired.

This video should serve as a lesson in the fact that, when in a situation like that, you have to SPEAK UP if you wants your Rights to acknowledged at all.
ie you have to talk as loud as they do even if they say you can't.

That's assuming of course that you know your Rights, as well as the law covering such things as reasonable suspicion and probable cause. That way, you can shove their crap back up their ass......in a manner of speaking, anyways. :D

They get used to it and then an air of complacency sets in and they forget about it.
ie the same way people get with their government. lol

He also states his partner would make a nice witness supposedly in support of his actions. If his partner was smart, he'd tell on him for saying stuff like that.
...but he won't.

that's a VERY dangerous individual (the cop) stating he would pull out his gun and "Execute" him; who knows what he's done, judging by what he said, he might've already Executed people......and think about how many sociopathic cops like him are out there?

I've stopped watching these types of videos because they get my blood pressure up and produce other negative effects.

When the cop said "This is how cops get killed!" It truly is.

That cop was over stressed, jaded, and has a negative view of all of us...the public in general. There's a reason why a lot of cops die within a few years of retirement.

I think the lesson is to not adopt the same 'group think' that cop has done. Let him die early, not you.

That cop should be in jail. The guy did nothing wrong. Think about how this cop is completely out of control and threatening the guy.... he commits assault numerous times in this.

I have seen many dogs smarter than this guy.

He keeps calling the citizen idiot, stupid, dummy, etc... and the cop is the idiot.

What surprises me is that this cop is still alive. He treats people so poorly, how is it that nobody fixed his wagon?

UPDATE 7/22/2011: Canton Police announced Thursday that the officer was relieved of all duties in June following an internal investigation complaint filed in this matter. The local Canton Repository (http://www.cantonrep.com/carousel/x121489646/Canton-officer-under-investigation-after-concealed-carry-arrest) has done some additional investigatory work into the officers and an excellent analysis of the video / audio we posted. The video and story has gone both viral and national crossing over to websites not typically affiliated with the pro-gun movement. Shortly after 7:00pm Thursday our website could no longer handle the volume of visitors we were receiving. We promptly quadrupled the resources behind OhioCCW.org in light of the popularity of this story.

Getting rid of that beater cop was a wise move. He was worse than a loose cannon. He was a timebomb. It amazes me that nobody- including the drive-along fellow cop, did nothing before this.... both from the cop side and from the vigilante side. Just that the guy is still walking around is an indicator that people are patient and long-suffering.

So, next stop... private security or bar bouncer for that animal. Definitely not daycare or hospice work for him.

It doesn't surprise me in the least. They protect their own until their own become un-protectable. Then, and only then, are they cut loose.

What's sad is that they probably wouldn't have done anything at all if not for the public reaction the video received.

Hopefully, he will become well known enough, to make him ineffective in any job that involves authority.

Wonder if a donut shop would hire him?

Joe King

No, he's got too much of a potty mouth for that. Every donut shop I've been in, the people working there seem to be pretty nice. He'd never fit in with his obviously prejudicial views of the general public.

Although I'm sure his buddies on the force wouldn't mind the free donuts he'd probably sneak to them. lol

Maybe he should be banned from all donut shops in the future. There should be a reward system in place...good cop, extra donut. Bad cop, no donut.;D
