I used the title from the vid. I am guessing this guy was carrying in Cali. Which means no magazine.

A Good Cop? This guy disarms a man unlawfully, seizes his Liberty, and essentially holds him hostage until 'he' is satisfied. The officer admitted he had the RIGHT to carry, and then says he needs to verify who the guy is. Oh is that how this works? Am i allowed to carry a gun ONLY after you run my name and my guns serial? You Communist GOON. Hey Cop, ever heard of innocent until proven guilty? You should read up on it, its an old idea worth checking into. Then asking for his papers UNLAWFULLY. Incredible.....

Notice its all under the guise of 'Keeping you safe'.....(Its in the video po boy posted as well. ALWAYS for your safety)

Then using the comradery of being in the Marines to try and gloss over the fact that A. He is acting like a Communist GOON . and B. He actually knows the Law, and voluntarily chose to disobey it by disarming the man, and asking for his papers.

That says an awful lot about his character.

You see he actually thinks he is upholding the Law, by destroying it. In 'his' world he is doing the right thing, as long as it fits his agenda and image of what 'Freedom' is. When Cops use their personal opinions, or biased attitudes towards upholding the Law, you are living in the Soviet Union.

Dont get me wrong, he is a billion times better than the typical Cop on the beat, no doubt.

Double plus good!

Perspective is everything. Under the current oppression, a cop who isn't as oppressive as most is perceived as 'a good cop'.

How the mighty have fallen.

Indeed the older I get the more I realize I've never met a sheriff Taylor.

Of course you realize that Sheriff Taylor was covertly fostering a collectivist agenda for his bosses at the Communist Broadcasting System...right?

He could have still been better, but I'd say that relative to the vids of cops we've seen here lately, that one was at least reasonable and cordial.

I know that I'd sure prefer to deal with him than most all of 'em I've seen.

That's what tv does very well.

I didn't quite know what to make of the vid. The cop was very aware of the camera and even mentioned youtube.

The cop wanted to verify that the chamber was empty, I can almost see that. Almost. We are talking Cali here.

I did like when the guy had the cop re-holster his pistol. Seemed like a good way to cover the bases.

What is a code 4? He asked the other officer if he had ever been on a code 4. solid your thoughts?

This went down better than the vid I posted that took place in Michigan.

What is a code 4?When I was doing ride-alongs, a code 4 meant "situation under control, no more back-up required" in order to have any other units responding return to their usual patrols and calls - however often because cops are nosy as hell they'd disregard the code 4 call and show up at the scene anyway. A code 3 meant "haul ass with lights and siren", and a code 2 meant respond with less urgency using only the overhead lights.

Until cops police their own there's no such thing as a "good" cop anymore. Are there a handful of decent guys with a badge out there? Yes, but they kiss the ring of the fraternity over common sense. They want to do away with open carry here - what does that tell you? It tells you they are the biggest gang on the block and they want you to play by their rules or they take their toys home after putting you in a pine box. What good for society does it accomplish hassling some guy with a firearm on his side in open view? Nothing, that's what.

Whether you agree or not with the current state of things, it is refreshing to see a cop follow the laws that are on the books and not overstep his boundaries because he felt like it. Don't want to give me your last name? Fine, nothing I can do about that, can you blame me for asking?
