When any notable performer OD's, or dies for that matter, it's in the news everywhere around the world, since forever. Ever notice that at any point in all the years leading up to this?

In any event she's already dead. Surely that's enough for those that truly hated her, perhaps not.

Picking the carcass of someone that commits suicide with a drug habit does seem a bit much.

There are two trains of thought. One is emphasizing the negative aspects, the other is realizing this was a performer that lost an ongoing battle with drug addiction despite trying to get clean.

Ask any addict what it's like. This was one hopelessly addicted individual. Sad that she couldn't change her life around, as she started off with a lot of potential that was different from any other performer.

When someone performs on stage in front of hundreds of thousands of people and tours around the world, then they die from drug abuse, it usually makes it into the media. Especially if their drug abuse is very public as well.

No surprises there. Pretty standard fare.
