TEHRAN, July 23 (Xinhua) -- An Iranian nuclear scientist was " assassinated by terrorists" in eastern Tehran on Saturday, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Dariush Rezaei, PhD of nuclear Physics and a university professor, was killed by motorcyclists in front of his home on Saturday evening, the semi-official ISNA news agency reported.

According to local media, the assassinated scientist was an expert linked to Iran's Atomic Energy Organization.

Rezaei's wife, who was with him when the attack occurred, survived the deadly incident but sustained injuries and was immediately transferred to hospital, the local satellite Press TV reported.

The victim was a nuclear physics professor at Mohaqeq Ardebili University in Iran's northwestern Ardebil city, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

n January 2010, the Iranian nuclear scientist and the Physics professor at the prestigious University of Tehran, Massoud Ali- Mohammadi, was killed by a remote-controlled bomb attached to a motorbike parked near his house.

In November 2010, another Iranian nuclear scientist Majid Shahriar was also killed by a bomb attached to his car on the way to his work.

In January, Iran said it dismantled an Israeli spying network and arrested a group of people who were linked to the assassination of its nuclear scientist Massoud Ali-Mohammadi.

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that Iran would legally sue Israel over assassinating the nuclear scientist.

The Iranian authorities have been accusing the United States and Israeli intelligence services of being behind the assassinations.

what, nobody cares to comment?

oh, how about the irony of the news?

Don't you all think that if the world was like jewish MSM is painting it, Iran would resort immediately to a retaliation terrorist attack? Like blowing up Israeli nuclear research center (which they blatantly deny has any capabilities)? Or, how about blowing up a what used to be arab (stolen by israel) oil refinery in Haifa that is now processing stolen Iraquie oil? Huh? Anyone? Bad arab terraristas don't retaliate?

Nah, we all know arabs, and judging by Oslo explosion (white norwegian speaking) white europeans are the main terrorists. Nah, joos can't possibly do any terrorism...naah, can't be.

Regardless of what time and time and time and again what comes up everywhere starting century ago with many attempts at russian and other european czars, russian revolution, etc. etc.

i would like to see Iran succeed in mastering nuclear technology, including developing thorium technology. you can't make a bomb with thorium nuclear, which takes the rug out from under Israel's bullshit.

in the US the weapons programs are often more covert. you don't know the names of the scientists doing the work. maybe Iran has programs like that too.

can you imagine if a foreign national shot up a nuclear science department at an American university ? it might be considered an Act of War.

from Iran's perspective, Israel has declared war on them. so has the US.

the US has also been flying drones over Iran and sending military squads over the border to blow sh!t up. again, that would be considered a declaration of war if someone did it to the US.

i think Iran needs to go in a more secular direction, and make their kids spend more time studying the sciences & industrial arts ... and a lot less time studying the Koran.

with their oil reserves, and their population - 70 million - there is no reason for them not to have a strong industrial base.

Iran doesn't even have an oil refinery !

I think a lot of people are catching on to what Israel is doing. They can't keep terrorizing the world like this forever. They're playing a dangerous game.

However, the rest of the world is not buying this Jewish crap anymore.
