The first ten time that I took my dog out to do his thing I would give him a milk bone right away, he then would make sure that I was looking at him and he would do his thing and come to me right away for his milk bone......now whenever I am in a hurry or is taking to long I show him a milk bone and he does it right away.
One thing that he does all the time is.......three long (you know what) and a short one.......I always look at it for anything that should not be there, like , bugs or little snakes........all is well in the Cuban front :)

My dog's always done that. Just tell her to "go do your buisness girl" while pointing at the ground, and she's off to do whatever she's got.
Although it doesn't work as good now as it used to because she's almost 17 and I pretty much have to let her out when it's convenient for her. lol

You can actually get the same effect with reassuring verbal commands. Always use the same words when you know they have to go, then once they do turn away to give them privacy, then give them energetic praise afterwards. I used to get a kick watching my dog go for a delirious rip after taking a nice dump...lol.
Always worked on my dobermans. Establish alpha male status early, maintain it, and dogs are the most incredible and unconditionally loving creatures.
Think of your dog literally as a 5 year old human that can't speak. The smarter you treat them, the smarter they get.

Celtic? I feel great after I started going out for a walk twice a day instead of only once, specially now that my hand is out of commision and I can't do much around my property.........Spirit? I know.
First post of the day................good morning to one and all.
