I have listened to NPR stations for years (nothing else really on). They very rarely mention gold (last time I heard was recently, and before that last I can recall was a blip when gold hit $1000/ozt.), not even on Marketplace.
Tonight I heard 2 stories on gold- both ultimately saying eventually the "bubble" will burst (in 2-5 years depending on the story). Then another guest even mentioned gold in a somewhat positive light! Gold rose $5-10 during the hour the stories came on!
Part of the issue is that NPR is no longer rock solid, and needs to go to more parties to get funding, but still, this is a big change.
