It's interesting to go into a Costco an hour before they close, and see all the 'holes' of sold merchandise.
I've been putting off the usual Costco run, and just getting organic milk from the local store. But our hamburger supply has finally dwindled & I needed to restock NOW. We didn't have time to source another grass-fed cow as we did last time (a source I found on GIM, but lost the contact info).
Anyhoo, I was shocked at hamburger prices being $4.29+/lb in the reg. stores. I knew Costco would be a better price but I wasn't looking forward to repackaging a 10 pound slab of hamburger.
I found they sell 1 lb. 'chubs' of their burger in the freezer section, 5/bag at the same price/lb. as their fresh 'family packs'. ($2.99/lb) Yippee!
The frozen chicken breasts were nearly wiped out, I got one of the few remaining bags.
Finally bought #25 of sugar. Don't laugh, around here #5 lasts well over a year or two!
Need to return for dog food & softener salt when I have a muscle-man along.
Am also dreaming of another freezer!!
