A South Korean stock broker jumped to his death from a high-rise office amid worldwide market turmoil.
The 48-year-old broker, identified only as "Seo," sent text messages to colleagues expressing regret over severe losses, just minutes before leaping to his death Wednesday in the city of Daegu, according to Chief investigator Lee Kang-ho.
Lee said Seo's text messages included an apology to his clients. The messages said prices of the stocks owned by his clients nosedived and he felt sorry, a Daegu police spokesman told AFP. No separate suicide note was found.
Police said CCTV footage showed the man coming out of an elevator alone on the 18th floor of the building before he was found dead on the ground.
South Korean stocks have been especially volatile amid global financial turmoil sparked by fears the U.S. and European economies could be headed for recession.

Hopefully have a few bankers, and a couple other wall street useless eaters taking the plunge.

YES! Someone should send a mesage to Obama, Kerry, Weiner, etc....
that this is what it means to ACCEPT PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for their actions.

The sad part about this situation is that he killed himself over an illusion. There is no wealth in paper.

At least two illusions- 1. fake money being traded on behalf or real wealth; 2. that he could protect his clients.

Condolences to his family.
While I have respect for him taking personal responsibility, he shut off all possibilities of working out a solution he could live with by ducking the consequences of his prior actions. That's sad. Very very sad.
Lot of pressure on us men. This guy thought he had no options. We got to get the word out there are options besides suicide. There are guys in the next cubicle over, thinking similar thoughts. Hope someone gets to them before they follow the tragic example of their former co-worker!!
Personal awakening is a much coveted goal. And it can be a total head twister.

I think this really shows a symptom of a deeper problem that affects all countries and walks of life. The equaling of chasing money and possessions as a way to determine self-worth. Mostly affects men, and when financial losses are felt by some, it's all they know. Sad, how we've evolved into this way of thinking. Chasing wealth, and the more wealth you can accumulate the more successful a man is according to "society". Then *poof* the digits on the computer screen go bye-bye and so does the value of that man, to the point he jumps out of a window.

It's clear what the problem was here......
No golden parachute.
Couldn't follow the yellow brick road.
Thought about many other investments as being 'good as gold' - - except gold!
Bought into the banker BS.
Never learned what is real.
Sad.

Can shear a sheeple many times. Rack o' Lamb is a one time event.
This is an early taste of global slaughter.

If he had gold, it would have helped. At least he would have had that...
The problem, is these guys, they off themselves, is because they don't have balance.
It's balance, in life, that makes it all come together. You can't achieve that, when your whole life is stock, the market, all the banker BS...it's all a distraction.
A sailor knows, you balance your boat. You take the wind, tide, currents..you take it all and trim your sails.
When the boat is balanced, she sails herself. You can kick your feet up and enjoy the ride, maybe trim here and there...
That's what those bastards won't ever get. You balance your life. Like your sails, on your sailboat.
You take all around you, and use it to keep your fucking boat ON coarse. The coarse you set. You can then see that storm on the horizon coming. You can prepare for it. If you are prepared, you can weather the storm.
Give a guy a half million dollar education...and he can't see that.
Never sees the storm on the horizon.
Jumps from a fucking window because the winds kick up.
Sad.
