Ok. So what price DID gold close at today?

I saw charts this morning of 1800+ but I'm seeing a high for the day of $1797.20.

I'm betting it's a straight forward reason.

What gives?

I'm pretty sure it was right there on the kitco price.

The intra-day trading prices do not effect the end of day price. Whatever the price is at that moment in time is the close price for the day. It may have spiked above 1800 but ended the day $1,795.40...at least on kitco.

I guess I should have said the high for the day rather than the closing price. The high still seems to be under the 1800 I know gold got to. anyway.

Gold was trading on the spot market for hours at $1800-1805 last night in Asia.
