Only 98.46% think so. I guess it's a conspiracy theory that the media is ignoring Ron Paul.

It's going to be fascinating to watch how they perception manage their ignoring and dissing popular support of Dr. Paul. I'm thinking they will open some sort of (figurative) relief valve to bleed off the pressure.

MR you were active back when Perot ran right? I was just a kid then.

How much more popular support is Paul getting than Perot did?

It seems to me that the only 2 bullets the establishment has left at this point is to defame Paul .. or outright knock him off.

Not saying that either one of those moves would be smart on their part.

I'd like to see how they perception manage a few thousand pissed off Rp'ers raising holy hell outside their studios.

i remember perot well. he had huge support, might have even been able to win. then, in the 11th hour, he pulled some bizarre "i'm getting out of the race" stunt. then he was back in. it was really, really, really weird.

That was in the days of "I'm mad too Eddie" Ross Perot was as chad said. He had a big following at least in the south, then poof , nothing!

How much more popular support is Paul getting than Perot did? There's just no comparison - like night and day. I was directly involved with getting Perot to critical mass in early March 92, and we had critical mass within roughly 72 hours of 'the activity' we engaged in. Dr. Paul doesn't have critical mass now and he didn't have it all at any point in 07-08. From my experience, critical mass scares the living shit out of the elitists who think they control everything - which is why they conveyed their threat to Perot and he pulled out when it had it won *for sure* (as early as mid to late May of 92).

So don't get the false impression that Dr. Paul is anywhere near the level of support Perot had. We should all be praying that the situation changes and people wake the fuck up in a timely fashion, as awareness and grassroots activity is the ONLY combination which will pull this off - imo. The competition learned a lot from their Perot experience and they've taken measures to make sure that sort of thing never happens again.

What's weird about some agent of the Bushco Crime Syndicate paying you a visit and expressing how sad it would be to have a funeral instead of a wedding?

If Ron Paul had won the Ames Iowa poll, the mainstream media would have dismissed the entire exercise as unimportant. If he had come in at, oh, 6th place, they would have used this as evidence that he is incompetent, not in the first rank of Republican candidates, can’t get out the vote, the American people had rejected his candidacy, etc. So, when Congressman Paul took a magnificent second place, only 1% behind the winner, I said to myself, Hot diggity dog; the MSM can’t ignore him now. They cannot dismiss this entire result since if they did so, they would have to also deprecate Michele Bachmann’s win, and that they will not do. They now MUST give Dr. Paul his due credit, since he finished in close second place to her.

Let's all remember that it was Randy Travis who beat Dr. Paul, not Bachmann.

So who's takin bets on an Independent run?

So who's takin bets on an Independent run?

There will be no independent run by Ron Paul. The only alternative would be the Libertarian Party and I see that as unlikely. To run as an independent would require the petition process in each state to get ballot access, and the two-faced single party hosers learned their lesson with Perot and have raised the bar to the point that only another billionaire could *maybe* do such a thing.

I've never heard Mr. Paul come up with that excuse.

He always brushes it over as a two party system, no reason to even consider an alternative.

That was strictly my own assessment. In 08 RP said he wouldn't run as anything other than Rep.

Ron Paul's Iowa victory (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/chapman/chi-ron-pauls-iowa-victory-20110815,0,5131413.story)

The link is to an article today in the Chicago Trib.

Read the comments. The link above starts out at the first page of comments. So a city of a million or two, there are 42 comments as of now.

I have no idea where some people get their ideas of RP's policy ideas, but they are way off base and seem ingrained into their heads.

The naysayers are getting louder and more shrill, which means we're making headway. lol

It's the comments from the sheep that are more of a concern to me. The RP supporters will always defend, but the few posts by the sheep gives us a clue into where the nay saying thoughts may be concentrated.

Now, take into account all of the leach fuckers who have never heard of RP. They won't go for a reduced budget and fedgov. That is a direct attack on their "livelihood".

Someone got to him.(Peort). He had the momentum and support, then all of a sudden he pulls out, never makes it clear why. At the same time, Bubba Clinton goes from nobody to Pres., in a few short months. That's about the time a lot of us started to wake up and notice what is really going on. TPTB are doing a sufficient job at keeping Paul down, but once they realize he has a chance, something will happen, and it won't be pretty.

I remember that RP didn't want to run 3rd party because it takes alot of money just to get on the ballot. I think I remember him saying that ballot fees are like a million dollars. I'm not sure though, I used to have all this info in a documentary that I was writing, but since forwent.

At 1:50:00 in the video below Chip Tatum explains what happened to Ross Perot. I think the same thing may happen to Ron Paul if it looks like he really might be elected.
