Earnings worries were the concern. People are not spending enough and that has investors worried. And here is an interview with a woman who said she was not going to buy a new car and not get the dent fixed on her current one was interviewed. She also isn't going to have major repairs done to her house either.

No, stocks aren't risky because of the blatant corruption, because the SEC is staffed by Goldman-Sachs, because of a global financial meltdown due to debt-based currency and the top sucking from the bottom, no, it's just because certain CEOs are pilots and take risks.
