New York City Police say a drunken off-duty officer has been arrested and charged with raping a teacher in an apartment backyard after asking her for directions.
Michael Pena was jailed after the incident Friday morning in the Inwood section of Manhattan.
'Be careful. He has a gun,' the 25-year-old woman told officers reponding to her 911 call.

She told police she was on her way to work at 6.15am when he approached her, showed her a gun and dragged her several blocks to the backyard, where he raped her.
Reports say Pena, who smelled of alcohol, asked the woman to show him directions to the number one train and take her there.
Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne said Pena told the woman, 'You're coming with me.
'She knew he had a gun. She saw it on his hip and later in his hand.'

Police say a resident of the building heard noises that did, 'not sound like consensual sex' and called 911.
'The first time I suspected it was not consensual,' she said. 'The second time because I saw he had a gun.'
She said the weapon dropped out of the suspect's pants and he bent over to pick it up.
After police arrived both the woman and Pena were clothed and standing up. His 9-mm handgun was on the ground.

According to the New York Daily news the woman then ran towards officers shouting, 'He raped me,' and ' be careful he has a gun'.
The weapon was said to be lying on the ground next to Pena.

She was treated at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia.
Pena has been an officer since 2008.
The department said he has been suspended without pay.
Chief NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said responding officers discovered Pena was a cop when they handcuffed him and found his police identification
