That video was moving. The sense of community . . . gathering at the City Council's office . . . people speaking their minds . . . officials afraid. I got chills, then I cried when the dad spoke, and laughed with the "head on a stick" comment. Wow. That was a roller coaster ride in only 3 minutes.

This incident happened on July 5, 2011. That was about 6 weeks ago. I saw this video maybe 5 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything about the public outrage since then.

I think what the 'officials' did was to pull the 'we have to investigate' ploy as an excuse to do nothing until everybody forgets about it.

What would have made an impression on me would have been if the crowd at the city hall meeting took the mayor and the chief of police outside the building and hung them until they were dead. Stuff like that doesn't happen because the criminals in power surround themselves with armed uniformed murderers who are above the law, and would have turned the crowd into dead meat if they tried to wrest justice by hanging the mayor and the head cop. This is the kind of lawless disorder the authorities impose on us.
