I think I recall u were a subscriber to IF before. What turned you off? He too tight with AJ? :p

I got a couple of free IFs in the past, just found it too long & rambling. Not sure how his picks performed.

not sure, I guess for a guy that claims to be so smart (heard him brag his IQ was over 150 on one show), I have never once seen him write or speak on Israel, in all the years...

I will say this, Jim Willie is to terrified to even mention Israel by name anymore, he states "that little country on the mediterranean, that faces Italy to the northwest, that we refer to as an ally"

thats it from Jim Willie on Israel....

now either the chapman got threatened a long time ago, and did not mention it

or

he is not as smart as he claims to be

or

he is paid to not mention Israel (like AJ and friends)

take your pick

to me, Jim Willie is about the best out there.....

When gold is $8,000 and silver $500 an ounce, gasoline will be $100/'gal, A cheap loaf of bread will cost $50. No matter how much gold and silver you have you won't be richer.

On the other hand, you won't be poorer either.

I'm debating buying Chapman's letter for a year. The cost is a non-issue as it is a business expense and trivial in size. I'm just hesitant becuase based on his radio interviews he tends to ramble and make generalizations which would not be helpful. I am looking for specific investment advice. I like Willie alot because he presents the big macro picture backed up with stats and spiced with just the right amounts of rumors and inside info.

SEC's Sedona target Chapman facing default judgment

2010-05-13 14:25 ET - Street Wire Also Street Wire (U-*SEC) U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
Also Street Wire (U-SSSI) Sedona Software Solutions Inc

by Mike Caswell

Bob Chapman, the newsletter writer charged for the Sedona Software Solutions Inc. market manipulation, is facing the possibility of a default judgment against him. On May 4, 2010, the judge entered an order to show cause against Mr. Chapman, stating that the newsletter writer has failed to answer the case, despite being properly served.

The charges Mr. Chapman faces are for his role in touting Vancouver-based Sedona in January, 2003. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission claims that he predicted the stock would reach $62 in his newsletter, the International Forecaster. He failed to disclose that he owned 370,000 shares of the company, which he had purchased at prices between 25 cents and $1. (All figures are in U.S. dollars.)

The SEC served Mr. Chapman with the suit on Aug. 13, 2009, delivering it by courier and by certified mail to an address in Mexico and to a post office box in Florida. It also served him at the e-mail address for his newsletter, international_forecaster@yahoo.com. He had 20 days to respond.

Full disclosure, I like listening to Bob.

Now, what is different about the charges brought up against Bob and what Goldman, JPM, MS, Citi, BoA, FED, BoE, etc, do?

I know I have heard him discuss the subject once, but I cannot recall what he said.

I like listening to him on Discount Gold and Silver. MWF shows.
I normally just pick it up after it airs. On the site for a week.
Alfred Adask does the Tuesday show. Sometimes (rare) Adask does the MWF show with Chapman.
