I recently bought a program "Quickbooks" so I can track expenses and log reciepts and such. When times were good, I didn't have to be a business man, just a tradesman. Now that is not enough and I must learn to keep track of things and figure out just where I am bleeding, financially. Long story short, I don't know the first thing about this program and it doesn't even come with a manual. I feel that I should maybe get my money back but maybe I am just ignorant and need enlightening. Is anyone here familiar with it?

I have a copy and to go back to your years beginning filling in checks, bills etc is ridiculous. Go back to the beginning of the month (today) and start with bank acct balance, enter outstanding checks and you should be good to go. Once your started it's really pretty easy.

You should be able to google any specific question you have and find instructions online. Also, you can press the F1 key for help.

Sounds like you folks are pretty happy with it then. I was hoping I could print checks and put them into my check book for filling out by hand. I suppose I am in my office when I am filling out checks though. I wish there was a way to scan and import reciepts into it. I did see a fancy scanner at office max but it was kinda pricey.

I use 2005 pro. I have never needed to upgrade. There is a check printing form. Just looked it up. If you have someone in your family in school you might be able to buy it at a discount.

I have never needed to upgrade.

This is where the money is.

You get all your business operations wrapped up in it and then they come at you with a mandatory update for hundreds of dollars.

I don't. No employees.
