All of my nieces are being raised to believe they are princesses. It is going to be a very rude awakening when they enter real life. I think parents that do this are setting their children up for depression.

...the fathers (if they're around), have most likely been completely emasculated by their spouses to the point where they no longer have a voice in the family, let alone the balls. i would go even further and say that the fathers probly figure it's easier to let her (child's mother) have her way rather than argue with her...the unfortunate downside being that the natural paradigm of the family is completely disrupted, and the only thing the child learns is how to manipulate other people to get what they want.
