In this neck of the woods, nobody is honest about two things: The best creek to pan for gold or where their huckleberry patch really is!

I was out in the National Forest checking out an old mine and came across a huge huckleberry patch! I'm heading back up this weekend to eat and pick. I'm dreaming of huckleberry pancakes and smoothies. Yum!!

The gob is trying to close about 100,000 acres of the NF to any motor vehicles . . . More Agenda21.

Does anyone else go out and get free food?

I always love picking berries. Last month went I was in northern Quebec I picked raspberries everyday, and even found an awsome wild blueberry patch. Picked 8 pints one afternoon off a cliff overlooking a small lake. Nothing better than wild blueberries up here.
Never had a huckleberry and I don't think we have them up here.
