Rick Perry asked the 0bunghole for the use of six C-130s sitting idle at Lackland AFB to fight the raging wildfires which have destroyed 1,000 homes in the past week and 0bunghole said, "No."

So far as the op Lackland AFB is a training base and they have no aircraft that can fly (Only displays) or runways, it is Kelly AFB that has aircraft and runways. Also if the c-130's are setup as cargo carriers (normal) they are useless for firefighting. And there is no such thing as a quick changeover to make them into tankers for firefighting.

They have bladders they put in them specifically for this purpose.
