Whip-sawing prices these last 2 days.
Anyhoo, what's a fair markup for junk silver? Am thinking of heading over to the pawn shop this morning to look around... last time I believe it was x33 face. Is that reasonable?
thanks!

Definitely a good time to buy. I am watching ProShares Ultra Gold (ETF) (Public, NYSE:UGL) for when we hit bottom (I think 1-2 more days..)

A lot of speculation that the action is resulting from the German court rulings, and pre-emptive of O's speech tomorrow night. Think Friday may be a better buying day?

Right now the spot value for junk silver is approx 30x face, so whatever you're paying above 30x face is your premium. 33x doesn't sound too bad, just make sure you're getting full weight coins, none of those heavily worn or cull coins.

Find a dealer who lets you buy by weight. Screw buying by face value because when you do that you get screwed.

I'm only buying junk silver at 90% of spot or below. I recently got some Canadian junk silver at 53% of the spot price, so I mean, buying at spot, or above is something I don't think I want to do anymore.

It was 29.50 yesterday, so today maybe 28.50
I think whatever oboma is going to announce tomorrow, is being priced into the market today.
I'm sure Wall Street already has the news.
Don't you mean 39.50?

Ah, my noobishness is showing! Perhaps I better wait for the hubby to assist me. I still have a lot to learn obviously.
No wonder more people don't own PMs, there's so much to know imo. But, that makes me all the more determined to learn it, and not just be the passive bystander.
