In an outrageous repeat of Katrina, the federal government has moved into wildfire-stricken Texas and turned away firefighting trained volunteers who had converged on Bastrop and Smithville to combat the out of control flames.
According to The Gonzales Cannon, federal officials arrived at the scene and assumed command of the operation under the pretense “local officials never made a formal request for volunteers.”
Jennifer Jones, a spokesperson with the U.S. National Interagency Incident Center, confirmed that a federal group comprised of several agencies would be assuming command in Bastrop County......
Alex Jones was contacted on Tuesday by firefighters who confirmed that FEMA is blocking volunteer assistance and has frustrated local attempts through the U.S. Forest Service and its maze of bureaucratic red tape. The firefighters and other volunteers report that the Forest Service is not responding to their efforts to clear federal hurdles put in the way of a response to the worst fire in Texas history.

This seems to be a repeat of Katrina. Look for house to house gun disarmament.
The Feds cannot do ANYTHING better than the free market. And this whole notion that the Government has to save you. PUKE.
All the Feds want to do is pour water on the fire. Real firefighting is done with tractors, dirt, burms, etc. It takes man power to trap and contain fire, NOT water.
Then there are reports of people using their own water to water their roofs and yards around their house, and have neighbors turning them in for using water. FUCKING morons. Lets see, use a couple hundred gallons of water to save your own home, or use hundreds of thoussands of gallons to no avail.

I'm really sick of watching ordinary people keep taking it, and taking it. Please GOD let me be alive when people FINALLY stop listening to these psychopaths!

When I was growing up in the country and there was a wildfire, out would come the Cats to get to cutting firebreaks through the woods. Never mind the fences, those could be repaired later.

Just this past year a flash fire got out of control from a neighbors pit fire and raced across the pasture onto our property as well as the neighbor next door.
Dry grass fires are unbelievably fast... but anyway, long before the Fire Department arrived, another neighbor from down the street jumped on his little Cat and basically stomped out a section of fire with it just before it reached a horse barn and a manufactured home in which an elderly woman was convalescing from a heart attack... that dude saved peoples lives.
Screw Fema.

After we had the biggest forest fire in the US back in 2002 I bought a 3,500 gallons water tank together with a 100' of 1.5" water hose and a Honda water pump plus placed two fire esplinklers on my roof........in summer and when is above 95 degrees I turn on the roof spriklers in order to keep my home cool, it works.........twice a year I test the whole system and this year I found out that I had to buy a new connecting hose ($24.00) going from the tank to the water pump.

Local farmers, land owners, the neighborhood volunteer fire brigade, A church or town bell calling the alarm will always be more successful than a government run entity...
Our country has been taken away from us
