ok, so this power outage thing last thursday night

it goes from north of san diego, east of Yuma and south all the way into mexico

and it lasted all thursday night, starting thursday around 3-4 pm (rush hour)

http://www.freep.com/article/20110910/NEWS07/109100398/Electricity-restored-southwest-officials-wonder-what-went-wrong

its 172 miles from yuma to san diego

So my poiint being is that it appears at a minimum we had about 200 miles of the U.S. Mexican Border shutdown with no power for an entire evening.

if any of you have seen the video (or been through) the border crossing at tijuana, you know its a madhouse, cars stacked up for miles...
imagine that with little (or no ) power for an entire evening, and it starting just before rush hour.

so my thoughts are that something entered the country.

I have no idea what, a nuclear device?

you could almost bring an armored division in through that desert at night, with no power....

whatever entered the country, my guess is that they want to use it today....

they shut off the power to both sides of the border for 14+ hours, over hundreds of square miles...

Yes, the expert on the electric utility (from the article in the above link) was dumbfounded how such an outage could have occurred at all. Seems like it could have intentionally been switched off. And if that was the case anything is possible, and I don't mean that in a good sense either!

Veni, vidi...evigilavi!

hmm....interesting. I guess we'll find out in a few hours, well, let's hope not in a bad example though.

Yes. The whole thing is fishy. Media played things down and flat lied. Unlike what the media said, there was a lot of looting after all. Wife got a Prayer Chain call in regards to a fellow member's daughter who was in San Diego. What we gleaned from that, was that all the military was ordered back to their bases. Seems like they should, if anything, been out from bases patrolling, perhaps helping with traffic intersections, ...instead of being ordered to return to their bases. Later follow up we gleaned that since the water wasn't working, they attempted to go find some (Prayer Chain daughter & husband)... and they had to go to about three different stores before they could find some. They saw all kinds of people just helping themselves to whatever they could carry and then just walked out without paying. Were very disturbed by it, and said very little was left of anything.

I wondered at the time, "How many were invading across the border?". Although your premise is even more disturbing, I don't think the PTB would need to do this to sneak in suitcase nukes or anything like that, ...that would probably just be waived in during broad daylight, without traffic delays or problems of a power outage.

Another strange thing happened the next day & night, on Friday. We went to a town in Arizona about almost 200 miles North of Yuma/Mexico border. We pulled into a little Italian eatery and since it was a Friday, left wife in car and asked them how long a wait would we be looking at... 'cause it can be quite lengthy on weekends. Was told virtually none as all their phones were out and so weren't getting any call-in orders. So, collected wife and had dinner there. Now this is an area that had no power outages or problems anywhere in that county from the previous day's incident. I asked the eatery if it was just their phones that were out, and was told that it was the entire county.... they didn't know why though. After dinner, we drive up in front of a store & just as I pulled into the parking space... the power went out in the entire town. Still had car running for air, my lights happened to be lighting up the front door. I looked around noticing all street lights, signals, the whole freaking town was blacked out. We sat there pondering the situation, and saw the manager come up to door and using our headlights was putting key in to lock it... even though people where inside the totally blacked-out store, and just at that moment the lights kicked backed on for the entire town. Later, we stopped at another place the other side of the town and I noticed a couple of kids playing around in parking lot with their little flashlights out, so checked there and sure enough... they had same experience, the whole freaking town went dark at once, yet it probably only lasted 3 to 5 minutes top.

Later, when we got home... we could tell that we had experienced zero power outage, and our land line phones were fine... and we are somewhat West & South of that town/county. Kinda creepy, when stuff goes down SouthWest from us one day, then NorthEast (albeit not as severe) of us the next, and I know they are all on completely different systems... and yet no problems for us in between. Sun Flare/Solar activity?? I don't know what the deal is but the explanation given for the Thursday incident doesn't quite cover the whole enchilada.
