The gold in mantle is too young to have been here from beginning

The Earth's crust contains 1,000 times the amount of gold it should, and it's because ancient meteorites brought it from outer space, according to a new study.
Scientists at the University of Bristol have determined that gold, platinum and other precious metals were delivered long after the Earth formed some 4.5 billion years ago. Such metals that were already part of the planet would have sunk to the core as the Earth cooled, within a few million years. But the abundance of gold in the mantle, embedded in rocks half a billion years younger, indicates the gold was brought by "terminal bombardment," the authors of a study published in the journal Nature (http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v477/n7363/full/nature10399.html) say.
This bombardment, a shower of meteorites that also caused the cratering seen on the Moon, would have occurred more than 500 million years after the Earth formed. Scholars say it brought the gold that is now accessible in the Earth's crust.
"The proportions of gold and other precious metals are difficult to measure because they concentrate into nuggets, and we need to analyze a lot of rocks to get meaningful data," lead researcher Matthias Willbold told the BBC.
The period known as terminal bombardment brought 20 billion billion tons of asteroid material down on our planet, Willbold said.

Golden space rocks...

Bring dem :D

Yes I think most of earths own gold would be in the core, it has such high density, it would sink in there... So gold is from asteroids too, so asteroids has much more gold in them than PGM's then!

So that's what they mean by "Golden Shower".........don't worry guys, I learned the meaning of this late in life from one of my girlfriends.

Gold was made as part of the creation and God specified it so there could be no doubt that is was here from the beginning.

Genesis 2:11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

there's another version that involves the mating habits of male billy goats.

even less suitable for polite conversation.

Same holds true for palladium. It's so heavy - when the earth was in its plastic stage (rocks hitting eachother in outer space have so much accretion heat from the impact that they turn to liquid rock, recooling as an orb) all the super heavy metals sank to the middle of the globe. So there is no palladium on the surface of the earth, save for that which has fallen directly from space in the form of a meteor onto the surface.

This literally makes palladium a gift from the heavens.

So what makes the earth so special that it attracts meteors made of gold? If earth has 1000 times what it should, I assume that a "normal" planet wouldn't have as much. I think this is just speculation, because if the earth was molten at one period of time, not only would all the gold have sunk, pretty much all heavy elements would be at the core and we'd have no heavy metals on the surface at all.

It's called gravity... perhaps you've heard of it? ;D

I can see the NWO inculcations of Big bang and evolution are flourishing in this thread.

It suggests to me that perhaps some early wealthy alien vacationers had a few boating accidents.
Maybe that's what the Banksters really are. Alien reptilians come to enslave mankind to collect their grandparents hidden gold.

I think you try to make unsupported conclusions to fit your beliefsystem. No-one has mentioned big bang theory nor evolution theory. Not explicitly nor implicitly... What is your problem man?

I'll sell my gold to buy buckets! Whats the gold to bucket ratio now?

Paul LaViolette found that there was gold in cosmic dust that had been deposited in polar ice 14,000 years ago. Apparently the earth is periodically bombarded with high concentrations of cosmic dust and cosmic rays. These bombardments could be the source of much of the earths gold.

I suppose I misunderstood the article then. I assumed that they meant earth had 1000 times as much gold compared to a "base" standard planet. That's what I was curious about, is by what basis they figured we had 1000 times more gold than we should.

I've got a problem with the crap the establishment media has spun far removed from the original research into.

The comet theory which has been the whole of mainstream coverage of the study that showed gold is younger than the earth is separate from and not part of the actual research!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v477/n7363/full/nature10399.html

One explanation of their over-abundance is a ‘late veneer’—a flux of meteorites added to the Earth after core formation as a ‘terminal’ bombardment that culminated in the cratering of the Moon

More to follow (such as other possible explanations for the fact that gold is not as old as old as the rock it is found in) tonite when I have more time.
