Some misdirection putting the image of Martin Luther KING Jr. in there, instead of Martin Luther.

Yeah he didn't get it all right in the video but that doesn't mean it is intentional misdirection. Could be that he was in the process of figuring this stuff out. When I think back to my awakening, it is a process, still is. You don't just wake up one morning with it all figured.

He did have the money and influence to reach a lot of people though. They have to snuff these types out.

Watch the second link at the top. Doesn't want to imbed for me. he talks about how the media is controled and the same people re-write the history books.

Powerful stuff, even though he got some things off target. MJ had the wherewithal and the means to shape public opinion on a wholesale basis in a very timely manner, and that just cannot be tolerated.

So a song that was released in 1996 resulted in the PTB killing him 13 years later? Ok. Whatever. lol

Based on his own words the song is opposite of what y'all are thinkin' it means.

The New York Times (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_York_Times) claimed the song contained racist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racist) and antisemitic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitic) content on June 15, 1995 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1995), just days before the album's release. The publication highlighted the lyrics, "Jew me, sue me, everybody do me/ Kick me, kike me, don't you black or white me" and labeled them "slurs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slur)".[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Don't_Care_About_Us#cite_note-NYT_first_raises_issue_of_alleged_antisemitism-2) Jackson responded directly to the publication, stating:

The idea that these lyrics could be deemed objectionable is extremely hurtful to me, and misleading. The song in fact is about the pain of prejudice and hate and is a way to draw attention to social and political problems. I am the voice of the accused and the attacked. I am the voice of everyone. I am the skinhead, I am the Jew, I am the black man, I am the white man. I am not the one who was attacking. It is about the injustices to young people and how the system can wrongfully accuse them. I am angry and outraged that I could be so misinterpreted.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Don't_Care_About_Us#cite_note-NYT_first_raises_issue_of_alleged_antisemitism-2)
When questioned further about the lyrics on the ABC News (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABC_News) program Prime Time Live (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Time_Live), Jackson stated, "It's not anti-Semitic because I'm not a racist person ... I could never be a racist. I love all races."[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Don't_Care_About_Us#cite_note-NYT_first_raises_issue_of_alleged_antisemitism-2) The singer also noted that some of his closest employees and friends were Jewish. That same day, Jackson received support from his manager and record label, who described the lyrics as "brilliant", that they were about opposition to prejudice and taken out of context.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Don't_Care_About_Us#cite_note-NYT_first_raises_issue_of_alleged_antisemitism-2) The following day, two leading members of the Jewish community stated that Jackson's attempt to make a song critical of discrimination (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discrimination) had backfired. They expressed the opinion that the lyrics used were unsuitable for a teenage audience that might not understand the song's context, adding that the song was too ambiguous for some listeners to understand. They accepted that Jackson meant well and suggested that the entertainer write an explanation in the album booklet.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Don't_Care_About_Us#cite_note-June_16.2C_Jewish_reaction-3)

Great song... Even with our local haters, and in general members of the same. He did have a touch.or way of delivery.

Screw all that don't, he was an artist. and the world is less for it.

And one of America's true success stories. Only in America can a poor black boy grow up to be a rich white woman! ;D
