This is absolutely shit. Do those policeman have any brains of their own to not carry out this kind of insane operation? Or, are they being trained on purpose not to stop and start thinking when their next orders are to kill a defenseless bunch of people somewhere (for any reason)? Wait, they already do that, and are very good at it...
The owner of those deer was not notified in advance, even, that is to say he was not given a chance to explain his position. That pisses me off.
In my country, some ways similarly to this incident, there's been a few cases lately where the police have came to the farm and shot down a cow that didn't have an earmark! Is the moral of these kind of stories then, atleast from the eyes of the government, that anything that doesn't have a license - or permit of some sort - shouldn't be allowed to exist? (Or has had no right to exist in the first place?)

Come on... They were just getting some good tactical training for when the time comes to kill anyone that doesn't have a RFID chip implanted. After all If the gubberment cant tell who you are ... you must be a terrorist! We have to protect the children... we have too! /sarcasm

Seems like a definite lack of due process.
Wildlife officials had previously been to Kinley's farm to inspect the two-acre fence in which the deer were kept, but that was before any state licensing laws went to effect, Kinley said.
It seems to me that if they'd been there in the past, that once anything changed legally, why wouldn't they have given notice? They obviously knew about the guy already.
Although he says he did realize he needed a license for the two white tail deer.
Kinley said he knew about licenses for white-tailed deer, but he never knew about licenses for fallow deerIf he'd previously made the legal determination that he was in fact a person required to have one, he should have gotten one.
Still, it's sad that given the fact they've had a good relationship with him in the past that they couldn't have just talked to the guy in a reasonable manner about it and given him a chance to get right with them.
After all, they themselves say that the entire purpose of the license is to control the spread of disease.
State law requires those running captive deer farms to have a license, mainly in order to prevent the spread of disease, wildlife officials said.....but if you can only tell if an animal has it by killing it, you could easily have licensed animals that have it too.

I didn't realize it was that easy to control diseases. Pay a fee and get a piece of paper. Now your animals won't get sick.
