New sunspot 1302 has already produced one X-flare (X1.4 on Sept. 22nd), can another be far behind? NOAA forecasters put the 24-hour probability at 20%. The sheer size of the active region suggests the odds might be even higher than that each of the dark cores in this snapshot from the Solar Dynamics Observatory is larger than Earth, and the entire active region stretches more than 100,000 km from end to end. The sunspot's magnetic field is crackling with sub-X-class flares that could grow into a larger eruption as the sunspot continues to turn toward Earth.

Of course it's never happened before, but "science" tells that 3 buildings can fall down at free fall speeds, just by fire alone???

At 21:51 UT, Monday 2 April 2001, active region 9393 unleashed a major solar flare. Now reclassified as at least an X20, it appears to be the biggest X-ray flare on record, most likely bigger than the one on 16 August 1989, also an X20 flare, and definitely more powerful that the famous 6 March 1989 flare which was related to the disruption of the power grids in Canada. The big explosion, which took place near the Sun's northwest limb, hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) into space - at a whopping speed of roughly 7.2 million km/h - but not directly towards Earth.

so on the 27th comet will pass between earth and sun and with alignment with marcury (all 4 in alignment) and some have supposed this could trigger a super massive CME, kill shot towards earth. i think all the recent solar flares are evidence that the comet is passing around the sun last week??

First, if this is some type of brown dwarf, its magnetic field may oppose earth's, which could cause our magnetic field to either top protecting us temporarily, or even cause a pole shift. In addition to the magnetic field being compromised, the body will also interact with the sun and cause solar flares and cme's in its direction (towards us, because of the alignment).

In addition, because it is coming between us and the sun, it will disrupt our magnetic portals (http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2008/30oct_ftes/) with the sun.
