http://vinienco.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/AustraliaBaconBurger.jpg (http://vinienco.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/AustraliaBaconBurger.jpg)It was a bloody brawl allegedly sparked by a hamburger with bacon. Now 32 witnesses will be called to give evidence at a hearing about how an incorrect order allegedly led to a violent assault on two police officers at a McDonald’s in April.
Mouhamad Khaled, 23, his 20-year-old girlfriend Daphne Florence Austin and his father Walid Khaled, 53, have been charged over the brawl at the Bankstown fast food outlet.
In Burwood Local Court yesterday, Magistrate Christopher Longley set a hearing date in February for Austin and Walid Khaled, who have each pleaded not guilty to charges linked to the brawl.
Mr Longley was told the prosecution will call 29 witnesses and the defence will call three people.
Mouhamad Khaled is yet to enter a plea to six charges, including inflicting grievous bodily harm on a police officer, and will be dealt with at a separate hearing.
Police allege the trouble began when the group began abusing counter staff because their hamburger contained bacon.
Police who were on the premises spoke to Walid Khaled about his alleged offensive behavior. When he allegedly continued to swear, police tried to arrest him.
Police allege they were assaulted by Mouhamad Khaled and Austin, prompting them to use capsicum spray and batons.
As they attempted to restrain Mouhamad Khaled he allegedly grabbed their handcuffs and assaulted them.
He struck probationary Constable Matthew Sutherland on the head before swinging them at Senior Constable Alicia Bridges, hitting her.
Austin is charged with assaulting and hindering police, and Walid Khaled with resisting police, behaving in an offensive manner and offensive language.
Mouhamad Khaled spent four months in custody before being granted bail in the Supreme Court.
Burwood Local Court was told in August that Austin is due to give birth in November.

People these days are crazy!!! What should have been done is take it back and tell them there is a problem with the order...not get in a fight over it!

You don't understand. Besides using your left hand to shake someone's hand, the worst insult one can inflict on a moslem is to put a bacon strip on his hamburger. It is tantamount to a death threat or worse, calling him a fudgepacker. In this circumstance, the moslem will react violently and attempt to kill anyone in the general vicinity, as they are contained within the evil bacon aura. This killing can only be stopped if the bacon is removed and ceremonially flushed down the toilet while singing the praises of all mighty Allah.(2 gigamillimambonis)

Don't they teach you people anything anymore, sheesh!!!

cops down here carry guns and tasers. I think maybe the NSW police are still using wheel guns. They get dealt with under common law if they use the gun the same way any other Australian does.

Burgers down here often have bacon in them. Macca's do Aussie burgers with bacon and beetroot. Who puts beetroot in a burger anyway? Chances are they got one of those special promotion burgers by mistake.

I'd love to hook you guys up with a tv series down here called Swift and Shift. It's about a courier company that hires all sort of people including a few ethinics. This show is one of those, it's ok for me to say nigger because I am one type of shows. It's a whole bunch of people taking the piss out of the different ethnic sterotypes. This is something Aussies seem to be very good at. The same people did another show called Pizza or Fat Pizza. A few years old now but also extremely funny. Well to me anyways. Lots of profanity if you go a looking for it so be warned.

Are you allowed to have long guns there?

If you do not want pork anywhere near your foods, why would you go to a McDonalds? Do they really think the burgers are cooked in a separate place and no bacon grease can get on them?

They need to go to Kosher places and learn to eat bagels.

Are you allowed to have long guns there?

just barely. All guns are registered. Long guns for competition or hunting with landholder permission. No semi auto, bolt action only max 5 round mags. Revolvers and pistols for competition only. No compacts and semi auto's 9mm for civilian, 45 for polic-e. Max 10 rounds. No carry..... although it's against the law to carry a weapon in public so as to cause fear or alarm. Kind of suggests concealed carry is ok because you are not carrying in a way to cause fear or alarm but of course it is not. There is lawful excuse for the ownership of some weapons like pump action shotties but I don't know what or how to claim lawful excuse. There is also claim of right if someone invades your home.

Get yourself a shot gun.

The rules are similar in Canada, except we have semi auto. Still limited to 5 rounds though.
Handguns and restricted guns (AR15's, etc) are only allowed at registered gun clubs, with the proper licence and paperwork on hand.

Still worth it to have. If TSHTF I will not be without arms.

yep I have a 9mm pistol. Would like a long gun but I don't want to do it through a club. It costs around $1000/pa to keep your club qualification going. I don't want to be paying $2K PA. I need to move somewhere I can have a bigger safe for long guns. Then I need a landholder to get permission from. Talking to someone about this atm.

That didn't sound right, but I'm glad you recovered with..."that's a damn good burger"

If the guy taking the order put one slice of bacon or two I can see that as he was not aware a muslim was ordering. I probably would've done a triple decker of bacon for the hell of it!

I'll start a brawl if there isn't bacon on my burger!

Why are these muslims in Australia? Are Australians going to muslim countries to live, work, and be members of society?

And if Australians wanted to go to these muslims naitions would they be allowed in? Hell, no.

Send them all back.
