My son saw this Saturday and I told him that I never saw this before. Could have been going on prior but I haven't looked in about a week. So it's at least 4 days and looks like it is stuck in this pattern. Check it out:

Currently, I am not going to complain about rain. Farmers might be pissed right now, but we need 8-10 inches to get back to normal.

fast, hard rains aren't that good, as there is so much water in a short period of time, it cannot effectively soak into the ground, most of it just runs off.
a few days of steady, light rain would be more effective to rehydrate the soil.

While Environment Canada reported a 14-millimetre rainfall for this region early Monday, Byrne said some local areas were spared while others were drenched.
Comber, for example, saw a downpour of 35 millimetres — about 1.5 inches — in 45 minutes, said Byrne.
The rainfall was so forceful he said it forced motorists to pull over to wait it out.
He likened many soaked area farm fields and lawns in subdivisions to big wet sponges.
“They simply won’t handle any more rainfall. Mother Nature has been overwatering the garden that is Essex County.”

Still doing the same thing - WTF?
Here on Delmarva, we haven't seen any good, solid sunshine for almost two weeks. When it's not been raining, it's been warm and cloudy with extreme humidity. Everything is damp.
