I like to buy random lots from coin dealers since the prices are cheap. Recently I got some stuff I can't identify, so I thought it would be fun if you guys helped me out:
I have 2 sets of coins here.
The first are 3 Kennedy Halves that are newer than 1970. All weigh 12.5 grams, are brilliant uncirculated, and have Silver rims (no visible copper.) I did the sound test and they sound like normal Silver coins. The Kennedy's all have S marks on them (San Francisco Mint,) and I have the years 1994, 1996, and 2003. What is the percentage Silver on these? Are they 90% like the 1964 Halves? I'm assuming someone bought a proof set from the Mint then broke the proof case to sell them into circulation or something?
The second are 2 Silver Washington Halves. They both have to year 1982 (250th anniversary of Washington,) and I found information online, but still can't figure out what percentage of Silver they are. Both of those are D mark to the right of Washington's horse (from the Denver mint,) and what looks like a EJ mark to the left of it.
