i will have to double-check - i read that every computer keyboard, the plastic film inside, contains 1/2 grams of silver.

I suspect your computer keyboard example is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Almost all digitized appliances, such as washing machine panels are using the same silver ink printed circuitry on transparent acetate sheets. I remember watching a "how it's made" episode on one of the cable channels recently about this very topic.

1/2 gram would equate to 62 computer keyboards to the Silver ounce.

I suppose one could sell all the letter keys on eBay as Poorman's Scrabble tiles, yes?.........
