"Under President Paul, would Osama Bin Laden still be alive?"
"No. I voted to go after him. I introduced the idea of issuing a letter of marque and reprisal."

What does this mean? I am just continuing learning but do not understand this.

When I first watched this vid I thought "man this interviewer is a dick" so I looked him up, turns out he is a jew who is married to a former Fannie Mae VP, and that Michael Chertoff attended his childrens baby showers. So this asshole is a big government ZOG puppet who intentionally asks leading and dishonest questions to RP, all the while interrupting him or changing the subject when RP puts him in his place.
Fuck that jew.

My understanding is that if you are attacked by someone but not a state, marque and reprisal allows you to go after those DIRECTLY involved, but not the state and certainly not engage in nation building/decade long occupations.

LETTER OF MARQUE AND REPRISAL, War. A commission granted by the government to a private individual, to take the property of a foreign state, or of the citizens or subjects of such state, as a reparation for an injury committed by such state, its citizens or subjects. A vessel loaded with merchandise, on a voyage to a friendly port, but armed for its own defence in case of attack by an enemy, is also called a letter of marque.

Yeah he did a good job, but it's impossible to really unleash his full knowledge when the host changes the subject without notice.
I don't like seeing Ron Paul get disrespected.

I don't like seeing Ron Paul get disrespected.I don't think he was. The guy obviously had a list of questions and RP was permitted to give his answers. After which, they went on to the next question.
ie he was asking the kind of questions that allowed RP to give the type of answers that people need to hear.

oh he was disrespecting RP alright, and tried to cut him off before RP could fully establish his point. I wish RP would stop accepting interviews by Faux and CNN news, but I understand he needs the exposure. MSM didn't do this to Obama and the likes, primarily b/c Obama has more of an authorative voice & maybe disrespecting a favored minority could result in backlash at the network. Unfortunately RP struggles to explain things quickly & MSM takes advantage everytime possible, but I still think RP did well in this one.

I just watched it for the 2cnd time. I thought RP knocked it out of the park on all counts, the interviewer did ask a lot of rapid fire questions but Ron held his ground, didn't get rattled and shined in the process on every topic. It was a much better situation than the last time he was on MTP with Russert, THAT was a f'd up interview!
I also loved Ron bringing up that Mitts yard mowing is bullshit in the larger scheme of things.
