Man Arrested for Child Endangerment

A man is in jail after choking a woman while she was holding her baby. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says the incident took place late Tuesday evening on Brooks Road. 41 year old Jason Hommel was putting his crying eleven month old son to bed. The baby’s mother heard the cries become muffled and asked Hommel if he put something over the babies face. Sheriff Royal says he became enraged.

“He becomes angry and enraged and ultimately grabs her by the throat and starts choking her. She is forced to the ground and he gets on top of her. During this altercation, she is still holding the child in her arms and then he continues to choke her.”

Finally Hommel got off the victim, the entire time she was holding the baby. Sheriff Deputies took him into custody for suspicion of spousal abuse and child endangerment. He was booked at the Wayne Brown correctional facility.

but thats got to be pretty tough on him, he was quite proud of his family.

the ex-wife, and the lawyers will get all his silver....

and with that charge hanging over him, he will be lucky to have any visitation rights with his kids, that are unsupervised

he did a lot for the silver movement, and I hate to see one moment of bad judgement ruin a mans life.... and this certainly has the smell of ruination....

I had an ex once, same type of situation, I beat her and punched her and tried to choke her all the time while she was holding my infant son. I called the Feds and they arrived in a short while, I was drinking and pretty wasted. They were about to arrest me and then one of the officers found my recorder that the ex pulled out of my hands... Game over, she had to leave. It was all premeditated by her thinking I would spend at least the Xmas/new years in jail. I never even touched her, she was the one spitting, kicking and punching me with my son in her arms. Divorce is war and treat it as such, never think otherwise.

I'm wondering about the Sheriffs comments here. Was the Sheriff standing there witnessing all of this or were they told this story by one of the parties? If so that would make them a pretty poor Sheriff IMO.

I've seen fights, lets call them that, where the wombman was handed the baby to the man, then started beating on the man while he is holding the baby.
What can the guy do? I've seen a few DV victims who were the instigators but of course THEY were really the victim. Not saying it's the way things always are but for every story the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.

I had a buddy, went through a messy messy divorce, his ex made up some similar story on him.

he lost all his guns, I am pretty sure Jason has a good collection of firearms...

those are history now....

my buddy had a security clearance at the time, took him over 2 years to get it cleared up, cost him a small fortune as well...

A friend of my wife has some legalese case going on, nothing big deal but he expressly said not to post at ALL on any site on the internet, no emails nothing over the phone. Something about they can take anything out of context and use it against you, can take your statement and change it as needed and present it as evidence. Remember that woman in TN that didnt have custody of her kids but they played some sport and won but it was reversed by her facebook comment?

I don't necessarily wish to turn what sounds like a tragic little drama in the Hommel household into a satanist conspiracy-to-destroy-society discussion. Important to remember, we don't know what happened- certainly not in its full context, IE history of their relationship, any recent chain of events, etc. At "face value", the allegations are striking as Hommel was part time silver commentator, part time Bible promoter... though he did publish an essay a few years ago, I'd have to find it as I recall posting it on GIM-1, where he made some case that the Bible was not opposed to the NWO... Today, I, Jason Hommel, tried to do a citizen's arrest of three armed men who run the Rocklin Coin Shop, because they have stolen about $540,000 from me in multiple ways, including embezzlement, false pretenses, and larceny, all criminal offenses. Larceny is a criminal offense because it applies when they moved precious metal out of the shop, to where it cannot be recovered even if I won a civil judgment against them. It carries a 2 year jail sentence for amounts over $200,000.

Thanks for the Rocklin Coin Shop review. I'm not a J.H. follower for many reasons. However, by the same token, the coin shop/arrest/embezzlement deal, bothers me on so many levels.
It's like you can't be involved in the bricks and mortar world of precious metals retailing without either becoming scum, or doing business with/partnering with scum. Very disgusting.
